Photographer / Nature Guide
We welcome you with Aloha on a visual road trip around the island to landmark sites and hidden gems off the typical tourist path. Along the way we might see a local blessing, observe the basking Hawaiian Green Sea Turtle or our beloved Monk Seal.
As professional photographers, teachers and guides we know the ideal spots getting you there at the right time so you get the perfect shot. We are committed to you having a great time capturing stunning photos. Warmest Aloha
My lifelong passion for photography began after my dad gave me a camera for my 18th birthday and I’ve been capturing life through a lens ever since. I studied Design/Photography at UCDavis. Afterwards I traveled extensively through Europe and Asia, then came back to the US to work as a commercial photographer and videographer. As a still photographer and documentarian, I’m passionate about going beyond the snapshot to creating a photograph that tells a good story and evokes emotion, whether it’s a portrait, landscape or detail. I love wildlife especially turtles and sharks. As a volunteer with Malama Na Honu ( Care for the Turtle ), a non-profit organization whose mission is to protect the Hawaiian green sea turtles through education, public awareness and conservation in the Spirit of Aloha, I get a chance to share my passion for wildlife. What I love most about leading tours is connecting with people from all parts of the world, and showing the most scenic spots on the island.
Oahu is my home and I love teaching guests about their cameras, Hawaiian history and culture. Before guiding I traveled extensively to produce documentaries for PBS and the Canadian Broadcasting Corp so I enjoy seeing visitors connect with the stories and customs that make Hawaii so unique. My passion is hiking, canoe racing and eating the Hawaiian-style plate lunch.
One of my favorite things about being a tour guide is that no two tours are ever the same. Our locations are constantly changing to address the time of year so that you get great photos.
Let’s have a fun journey together taking photos and enjoying breathtaking scenery.
Aloha! I have always loved wildlife and birds. From the time I was a young girl I volunteered at a wildlife rehabilitation and education center. After earning a BS in Environmental Studies from East Stroudsburg University I began conducting education programs as a Naturalist, a Lead Conservation Educators and a Bird Banding and Education program at the Smithsonian Migratory Bird Center. Leading tours allows me to share my knowledge and passion for Hawaii’s culture, history, wildlife and its unique and fascinating birds.
I am looking forward to meeting you and sharing our island.
